Sorry for the loss of your love one. John 5:28, 29 assures us that Jesus will restore life to those who has died. Revelation 21:3, 4 gives further assurances that death will be swallowed up forever. This is a comforting thought knowing that your loved one is in God's memory. Hope this brings comfort.

I am very sorry to read of the loss of, Mr. Stevens. He was a very faithful and dedicated man, married for 62 years! I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is, John 11:25, which says, "Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. My prayers and thoughts are with you Pastor Tim and all the family. This was a man you could look in his eyes and see someone who had much humility and love for people. I pray that in this time of celebration of the life of Preacher Berkley Stevens you'll feel God's love much more and that you will find comfort in the presence of the Lord, and overflow your heart with peace.
