Wanda Adams

Wanda Switzer Adams, born July 17, 1943, received her angel wings on June 13, 2022, surrounded by family at her home in Blue Ridge. Wanda loved a clean house, in fact she owned her own housekeeping business for over 20 years. Wanda had a passion for Native American collectables, teddy bears, puzzles, and anything Thomas Kinkade. Most of all, she had an overwhelming love for her family. Wanda loved family gatherings or a quick lunch for one on one time, or just a chat on the phone. She was also famous for sending cards for all occasions to everyone she knew, near and far.

Wanda leaves behind her loving husband of 23 years, D.C. Adams; her siblings; her children, Thomas (Mary), James, Juanita (Richard, David, Ryan (Amber); her grandchildren, Travis, Starr, Dakota; and the light of her life, her great grandchildren, Cameron, Gabriel, Arielle.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 11am till Noon at Lotz Vinton Chapel. There will be a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with a graveside service at Old Dominion Memorial gardens.

In lieu of flowers you may choose to donate to her favorite charities, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Breast Cancer foundation. A special thank you goes out to the Kindrid Hospice team, especially her nurse Jennifer and her “bath lady” Kiara. She looked forward to seeing you two each week.
