Sherri Bolick, 71 of Montvale, went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 13, 2019 at Duke Medical Center. She was born in Roanoke on September 22, 1947. Her life was one of love and deep passion for helping others in need, and loving them in an unconditional way. She served at the Boys & Girls Club as well as Camp Virginia Jaycee. The most gratifying thing for her during her service was the smiling faces of the children, staff, and campers that crossed paths with her. She was also a member of Montvale Presbyterian Church of which she was very dedicated to. Family was a significant part of her life. As her family grew, her life became overfilled with an abundant amount of love and joy (especially through grandchildren and great grandchildren). Just as family was significant so were the friendships that she made. These friendships that she made throughout her life lasted a lifetime, and brought her much happiness. The one thing that will be missed most by her loved ones and friends will be her beautiful smile and her loving ways. She was preceded in death by father Charles Dodd, grandparents; Otis and Janie Dodd, John and Jessalyn Northcross, stepfather; Charlie Robertson, and mother Argyle Robertson .
She is survived by husband Thomas Bolick, son Ken Blankenship and his wife (Chriss) of Arizona, daughters; Denise Wilson and her husband (Darrell) of Chamblisburg, Catherine Minnix and her husband (Jeff) of Montvale, Evelyn Luck of Montvale, grandchildren, Dylan Blankenship and his wife (Carla), Shannon Wilson and his fiancée (Dana) , Taylor Wilson, Rayn Blankenship, Christopher Luck and wife (Deanna), Joseph Luck and his fiancée’ (Kendal l), Andrew Minnix and his wife (Lydia), Olivia Minnix, great grandchildren; Abbie, Maddie, Rily, Mason, Noella, Aubrey, Jonathon, and Jacob.
The celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 21st at Montvale Presbyterian Church. The service will begin at 2 p.m. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Following the 2.pm. service will be a reception at Faith Life Baptist Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montvale Presbyterian Church (P.O. Box 156 Montvale, VA 24122).
