Shelley Ann Hoover

Shelley Ann Hoover, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2023, in Jordantown, VA. She was born on October 10th, 1960, in Long Island, NY, to Patricia and Melvin Domes. Shelley was a woman with a heart of gold, known for her loving nature and vibrant personality. She adored her husband, Randy, and cherished her children, Gary, Sean, and Chelsea (Mason). Shelley also leaves behind three grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Shelley had a fulfilling career as a former Substitute Teacher, positively impacting the lives of countless students. Her passion for education and nurturing young minds was evident in her dedication and commitment.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Shelley had a zest for life and was always ready to strike up a conversation. She had an infectious energy that drew people to her, and she never met a stranger. Shelley had a deep love for dolphins, Goofy, and hummingbirds, which mirrored her vibrant and lively spirit.

Shelley's warm presence will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: her loving husband of 27 years, Randy Hoover; her sons, Gary Adams and Sean Adams; her daughter, Chelsea (Mason) Napier; her sisters, Diana, Sheila and Doreen; her Best friend Kim, and her three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Melvin Domes, as well as her brother, Steven, and sisters, Denise and Donna.

A memorial service to celebrate Shelley's life will be held on Friday, August 18th, 2023, at 2pm at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton, located at 305 E. Washington Ave, Vinton, VA 24179. Family, friends, and all those touched by Shelley's presence are invited to attend and pay their respects.

Shelley Ann Hoover will forever be remembered for her kind heart, love for her family, and her unwavering zest for life. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
