Robert Eugene Hattendorf, 91, of Roanoke, passed away February 17, 2018. He was born May 27,1926 in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of Carl F. Hattendorf and Helen Driscoll Hattendorf. He was predeceased by his wife Frances Alease Huddleston Hattendorf; daughter, Diana Lynn Hattendorf, and sister, Margaret Klopfenstein.

Surviving family includes daughters, Sandra Trent (Bill Radford), Linda Marchand (Jerry); son, Robert E. Hattendorf, Jr. (Rachel); nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; special cousins Rita Underwood and Dinah Leffel; special nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Fred Bright.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10-11 AM, with a service beginning at 11 AM at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton with Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.lotzfuneralhomevinton.com
