Robert D Brizendine

Robert (Bobby) Donald Brizendine, 83, of Roanoke, passed away November 7, 2021. He was born in Roanoke, the son of the late Mack and Dorothy Brizendine. He was predeceased by wife, Helen Brizendine; sister, Patsy (Hop) Thurston; brothers’ Jimmy (Ruth) Brizendine, Glenn (Lucy) Brizendine. He was retired from Blue Ridge Beverage where he worked for 19 years. He also worked at Porterfield Distributing and Webster Distributing.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his sister, Brenda (George) Hodges; brothers, Wayne (Pat) Brizendine, Doug (Charlotte) Brizendine; children, Susie (Randy) Light, Duane (Elizabeth) Brizendine; grandchildren, Mark Sink Jr. and fiancé Melissa Payne, Brandi (Lynn) Phoenix, Megan Light and Fiancé Barry Cornett, Rene Light, Aimee (Ernesto) Muse , Dannie (Michaela) Brizendine; great grandchildren, Mark III, Ethan, Brayden, Vayda, Kylie, Sophie, Rebekah, Gabriella, Heather, Lexi, Kobe, Chloe (Keith), Alaina, Sophia, Mikayla.
The family would like to thank those that took care of Bobby at Care Advantage (Irene and Katie) and Encompass (Blake, Chris, and others) for all their special care.
The family will receive friends Thursday November 11, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel. There will be a celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Friday November 12, 2021 at Lotz Vinton chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton.
