Melvin Dulaney, 86, of Stewartsville, died Monday, October 22 2018.
He was born and raised in the Alum Ridge section of Floyd County. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev Willie and Olivia Dulaney; father and mother in-law, Astor and Mary Quesenberry; brothers, Ralph, Dennis, Leon, Galen, Maurice, and sister, Opal.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Nadine Quesenberry Dulaney, son and wife, Scott and Kay Reynolds Dulaney; grandson and wife, Travis and Nakisha Reynolds, great-grandson, Carson Reynolds; other survivors include Betty and Merle Reed, Marion VA; sisters-in-law, Nancy Boothe Dulaney of Floyd, Gloria Nolen and husband, Jack, of Vinton, Mary Caldwell of Vinton, Wanda Sue Rider of Moneta; brother-in-law, Jack Quesenberry and wife, Carolyn of Vinton; special nieces, JoAnn Terry of Roanoke, Shelby Rider Phelan and husband, Chris of Vinton; special nephews, Michael Rider and wife, Amanda of Moneta, and Eugene Dulaney of Floyd.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Lotz Vinton Chapel followed by a memorial service with Rev. Jason Hay and Dr. Michael Wrye Officiating.
