Martha Marie Carter

Martha Marie Carter "Ree" of Roanoke went to be with the lord on September 17th, 2022. She retired from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, she was a member of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry E. Carter "Tinkey", her parents and 9 brothers. Surviving her are her daughters, Nancy Jennings, Linda Schoonover and son-in-law, Michael Schoonover, Joyce Carter; her granddaughters, Amanda Jennings and fiance', John Peterson, Cheyenne Carter, Jessica Cuellar; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Britney Glisson, Luciana and Arrabella Cuellar; sister, Doris Howell. She was a special "Granny Ree" to Kameron Louis Tuck. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, Sept 20th at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church with Pastor Nathan Colwell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. The family will receive friends on Monday, Sept 19th from 3p-8p at Lotz in Vinton.
