Marlene Lucille Johnson Finch

Marlene Lucille Johnson Finch, 78, of Forest, Virginia, finished her last task in her last project on
Monday, April 30, 2018.

A Virginia Lady, she graduated from Jefferson High school in Roanoke in 1958.
She was an active member of Peakland United Methodist Church and loved her UMC Circle, her bridge
group, dinner with friends and entertaining. A professional administrative assistant at Lynchburg
General Hospital for many years she volunteered at the cancer center there after her diagnosis. She was
active, strong, loyal and smart and she loved her family as ferociously as they loved her.

Surviving family includes her devoted husband of 60 years, Curtis Ludwick Finch; son, Curtis Finch II;
daughters, Carol Ells and Annette Sisson; brother, John Johnson; seven grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. All will miss her, brokenheartedly, forever more.

A celebration of her life will take place at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Peakland United
Methodist Church, 4434 Boonsboro Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24503. In lieu of flowers please consider
