Linda June Nezbeth

On August 8, 2022, Linda Brown Nezbeth, age 79, of Goodview ,went to be with the Lord where she had family by her side. She was born August 24, 1942 in Roanoke, Va. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the American Revolution. Her passion was genealogy and she enjoyed doing research for the Franklin County Historical Society. She has written a few books on the Byrd family history and the Brown family history. Linda loved her family was a gem to those who called her friend. She was always offering up her help to many. She will be deeply missed . She was very proud of her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by parents, James J. McMahon and Julia Byrd McMahon, and sister, Nellis McMahon.

Surviving family includes her husband of 62 years, Paul Nezbeth; children, Terri L. Nezbeth and Tim Nezbeth; grandchildren, Lindsay B. Nezbeth and Hunter Nezbeth; brothers, Robert G. (Marisa) Brown, Wesley (Barbara) Brown and Harold L. (Jeanne) Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm prior to the service.
