Leonard Thomas Hutchinson, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 27, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents, Luster and Dorothy Hutchison and sister, Mildred StClair.

Surviving family includes his partner, Gail Martha Mack; daughter, Kathleen H. McDaniel (Chris); grandsons, Andrew Thomas McDaniel (Jennifer), Joshua Paul McDaniel (Brandi); four great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris H. Chandler of Powhatan, Betty H. Jones of Blue Ridge, Lucy H. Gillaspie (John) of Blue Ridge, Linda H. Harmon (Billy), Bonnie H. Lapradd (Calvin), both of Roanoke; brother, Everette Wayne Hutchison (Darlene) of Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. Special mention to Gail Sticklen and family, and Bill Mack and daughter, Sylvia. A very special thank you to his caregiver and very dear friend, Patricia Pham and Heartland Hospice.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor Jon Laughinghouse officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
