Kent Edward Morgan, Jr., 74, of Vinton, joined his Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 15, 2018. He is rejoicing with his wife, Sandra Roberts Morgan, parents; Kent and Sarah Morgan, brother; Stephen Morgan, in-laws; Paul and Rose Roberts, Sharon Doetch, and Paulette Milliner. He was employed for 38 years as a long distance truck driver for Russell Transfer, Great Coastal and R&L Transport, where he retired in 2008.
He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Tingler (Scott), three grandchildren; Matthew Novitsky, and Michael Tingler, Steven Tingler, sisters and brothers; John Morgan (Polly), Patricia Petry (Joe), Pamela Maddox (Jim), Michael Morgan, sister in-laws; Carolyn Alls (Billy), Miriam Hamilton (Ira), and numerous nephews and nieces . A special thank you to his sister, Pat and neice, Carrie, for assisting in his care.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Vinton Chapel, Monday, February 19, 2018 from 11a.m. to 1p.m. with a service at 1 p.m. officiated by Pastor Matthew Novitsky . Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.lotzfuneralhomevinton.com
