Kenneth Henry Debnar, 78, of Roanoke, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 25, 2018. He was a graduate of Wauwatosa High School and attended Milwaukee Area Technical College, Waukesha County Technical Institute, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He retired in 1996 from A.O. Smith Corp., Automotive Division, after 30 years as a Journeyman machinist in the prototype department. He was most proud of his 20 years volunteering with Roanoke Habitat for Humanity, serving as a builder and house leader. He enjoyed playing Bridge and Sudoku and he and his wife are members of St. Andrews Catholic Church.
Surviving family includes his wife of 53 years, Kathryn Debnar (nee Othrow); daughter, Jennifer and fiancé, Gary Schmidgall, both of Milwaukee, WI; Gary’s son, RC and wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Rylee Rose, of East Peoria, ILL; Ken’s son, Timothy, and grandson, Jacob, both of Waukesha WI; brother, Albert Debnar (Mina); sister, Judith Ferry (nee Debnar), both of Alexandria, VA; brothers-in-law, James Othrow (Cynthia), of Estes Park, CO, and Michael Othrow (Iris), of McFarland, WI; sister-in-law, Joann Othrow Baez, of Victoria, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at noon on Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Roanoke. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until Noon at the church.
