Kenneth Lee Altizer, 70, of Vinton, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. He retired from Norfolk Southern following 37 years of service. He was a car enthusiast who enjoyed restoring his 1963½ Ford Falcon. Kenneth was an animal lover and supported the SPCA and Angels of Assisi. He was very fond of his dog, Bella, who was always with him.

Surviving family includes a daughter, Ashley Matz (Thomas); step-daughter, Heather Dougherty (Kevin); sister, Vicki Altizer; grandchildren, Layla Thomasson, Paisley Matz, Jordyn Kinsey, and, Tyler Kinsey, and his “Fur” child, Bella.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. 540-343-4986.
