Judith Leigh Sowers Stinnett

"Judith (Judy) Leigh Sowers Stinnett joined the love of her life and twin baby girls on October 17, 2020. We're sure she's happy now since she never got over the passing of her husband, Wayne, and simply didn't know how to go through life without him. Judy was born and raised in Vinton and was proud of that. She was also happy to tell you that her grand daddy, S. Marvin Craig, was once the Mayor of Vinton. She found joy in animals - owning and breeding them. And she loved babies. Nothing made her happier than when her great-grandbabies would come to see her.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Wayne Stinnett, her infant twin girls, her parents Herbert Earthel Sowers, Sr. and Mary Davis Craig Sowers, her brother Herbert (Butch) Earthel Sowers, Jr. and her sister-in-law Muriel Stinnett. She is survived by her children Matthew Wayne Stinnett, Christopher Robert Stinnett (Tamera), Angela Roberta Stinnett, Charles Douglas Stinnett, and Adam Cole Stinnett, her grandchildren Amanda Leigh Ellis (Robert Maxwell), Stephanie Renae Artrip (Timothy), Conner Davis Stinnett, Nicholas Scott Stinnett, and Evan Cole Stinnett, her great-grandchildren Jacob Stephen-Wayne Artrip, Colton Michael Artrip, Abel Robert Maxwell, Dawson Cole Artrip, and Asher Roman Maxwell, brother Craig (Doug) Sowers, lifelong friend Drema Altizer, and many nephews, nieces, and close friends.

Judy's service will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 12 noon with a viewing being held an hour before at 11AM at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.
