Judith McRae Meadows Bennett

Judith McRae Meadows Bennett, 81 of Vinton, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021. Born in Affinity, West Virginia, Judy faithfully served the Lord throughout her life in many ways. She was the church hostess, cooked Wednesday night dinners, visited the homebound, worked in the senior’s ministry, sang in the choir, and lovingly took care of little ones in the nursery. In her later years, Judy’s greatest passion after serving God was her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Delmer and Kathleen Meadows; sister, Drema Figliozzi and husband, John, and son, Adrian Bennett.

Surviving family includes her husband, Melvin Bennett; son, Vincent Bennett and wife, Evette; daughter, Michele Park, and husband Sean; daughter-in-law, Sheila Bennett; sisters and brothers, Diana Huffmand and husband, Franklin Delano, Lynn Rose, Dale Meadows and wife, Vickie, Jerry Meadows and wife, JoAnn, and Sharon McMillion and husband, Dwight; grandchildren; Nicholas Bennett, Joey Bennett, and wife, Cheyenne, Faith Furlough, and husband, Caleb, Jessica Luebke and husband, Dave, Zeph Park, Jordan Bennett, Maggie Bennett, and Mason Bennett; great-grandchild, Isla Judith Furlough, and great-grandchildren-to-be, Alice Josephine Luebke, due in January, and Lily Eden Furlough, due in February.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at First Baptist Church Faith Chapel at 321 Marshall Ave. Roanoke, Va. 24016.
