Gregory Alvin Calhoun

"Gregory Alvin Calhoun, 56, of Hardy, VA, went to be with the Lord Tuesday the 19th of October, 2021 following complications from COVID. Greg lived his life serving the Lord, loving his wife, children, and granddaughter. He is a life member of Moneta Volunteer Fire Department where he has over 30 years of experience. He had an impact on so many lives from being a friend, leader, mentor and brother in Christ. Greg dedicated the last 25 years of his career to Coca-Cola/ Red Classic where he forged many lifelong friendships.

He was born and raised in Moneta, VA to Al & Rita Calhoun, who preceded him in death. Greg is survived by his best friend, love of his life and devoted wife of 22 years, Kristen Calhoun. His beloved children, Alan Calhoun (Brittany Thurman), Andrea (Eric) Fenning, and granddaughter Kennedy Fenning. His loving siblings, Jan Winand, Rebekah (Chuck) Horner, and Jeremiah Calhoun. He is also survived by his special nieces and nephews Destiny, Ty, Michelle, Stephen, Wyatt, and his very special “grand puppy” Ember who was his favorite camping buddy. Greg will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 14th at 3:00 pm at Moneta Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moneta Volunteer Fire Department. "
