George Lloyd Nunley, 70, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was born August 2, 1947 to Lucy and Archie Nunley (both deceased) also predeceased by his sister, Etta Campbell and brothers-laws, Henry LaPrad and Junior Campbell (whom he loved as a brother). He is survived by his sons, Todd Nunley and Tony Nunley and wife Rhonda and his daughter, Mary Lynn Stanley. He is also survived by his sisters, Jo Ann LaPrad, Gertie (Norm) Graves and Peggy Barker and his brothers, Elwood (Paulette) Nunley and G.K. (Sally) Nunley and special friend, Virginia Heck.  George loved the outdoors and especially hunting and fishing. Go rest high on that mountain George! The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Lotz Vinton Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a graveside service 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Franklin Memorial Park. Following the service the family and friends will gather for a meal and time of fellowship at Lamplight Baptist Church located at 4307 Rock Garden Lane, Roanoke, VA. 24018.
