Geneva Lether Pickeral Galliher Fulcher, 100, left her mountain home in Blue Ridge, Virginia for her heavenly home on Monday, May 10, 2021. Born in Pittsylvania County, she was the only daughter of the late Clarence and Alice Divers Pickeral. She was predeceased by her husbands, Malcolm Galliher and Cairy T. Fulcher; sons, William M. Fulcher, Billie L Galliher, and Douglas E. Galliher; granddaughter, Melissa Via Payne, and brothers, Grover G. Pickeral, Woodrow W. Pickeral, Charles H. F. Pickeral, and Leeiver W. Pickeral.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel W. Galliher (Louise), Marie A. Via (Ray), Judy G. Brown (Clark), Richard A. Fulcher, Mindy A. Thurman (Greg); precious friend Lenna J. Leonard; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Geneva worked hard her entire life taking care of her family and the farm. She was a wonderful cook who took great pride in growing her own food and planting flowers wherever there was space. A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor David McNeill and Pastor Jack Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
