Mr. Gary Lee Snyder

Gary Lee Snyder, 76 passed away following a brief illness in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on January 6, 2023.
 
Gary was born and raised in South Charleston WV, he graduated from South Charleston High School in 1966.  He then served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and settled in the Roanoke area and went to work for GE retiring after decades of service.
 
Preceding him in death, is his wife of 33 years Eunice “Suzie” Gibbs Snyder and a Brother Larry K. Snyder.
 
Gary is survived by his Son, Patrick and his wife, Renae and their two children,  Lucas and Olivia of Lynchburg as well as a daughter and granddaughter ; Brothers- Howard D. Snyder of Washington DC, Dana A. Snyder of Charleston WV and Sister Nesba A. Tench of Gallipolis Ferry WV; foster sister, Linda Lawrence of WV.

Gary is going to be missed by his extended family, close friends, neighbors and furbaby Piper. Lucas and Olivia were a source of pride and joy for him and they will miss their fun- loving Papa Gary deeply.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm, Friday, January 13, 2023 at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held 2 pm, Friday, January 13, 2023 at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton with Pastor Brian Geiser officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery-Vinton.
