Garnett Christopher Myers

It is with great sadness that the family of Garnett “Chris” Christopher Myers announces his unexpected passing on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at the age of 58, in Roanoke. Chris will lovingly be remembered by his beautiful wife of 21 years, Karen; his adored mother, Audrey Hagee; daughter, Jessi Myers Wise, and stepson, Joey and wife, Erin Patsel. He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren, whom he was so proud of, Logan Joseph Patsel, Stephen “Parker” Wise, Christopher “Judah” Wise, and Dannica Evelyn “Little Sally” Wise; siblings, Mike Myers, Debbie Berg, and Doug (Judy) Hagee; nieces and nephews, Amber Harman, Tony Johnson, Justin (Katherine) Torres, Stephanie Myers, Zach Myers, and Sean Myers, and countless other extended family members and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his pops, Charles Hagee; father, Robert Myers; sister, Teresa Myers, and stepdaughter, Brittany Patsel.

Chris, sweetly known as Hanee, Grampa, and Poppy, will always be remembered as a hard working, generous, caring man who adored his mother, and enjoyed cars, fishing, taking trips with his wife, tinkering, and fixing most anything, playing on the floor with his grandkids, and finding another project to work on. He was a talented brick mason who always left things better than he found them, and he certainly made many lives better with his kind heart and willingness to help others. He is a husband, brother, son, and daddy who will be greatly missed, but not forgotten, and we feel sure he is now steadily busy building with bricks of gold in heaven.

A celebration of his life will take place at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor Michael Grooms officiating and Frank Davis bringing the eulogy. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery with recommended “Social Distancing” guidelines enforced. In respect to “Social Distancing” guidelines the service will be restricted to family only however it will be live streamed at www.lotzfuneralhomevinton.com
