Franklin "Petie" StClair

Franklin “Petie” StClair, 78, of Goodview, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019. He grew up in Virginia and proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Navy from 1958-1961. After leaving the Navy, he married the Love of His Life, Toni, and together they had three children. He lived in Massachusetts for many years until he moved back to Virginia in 2005. He worked as a truck driver for many years until his retirement enjoying woodworking, bowling, and billiards. He was predeceased by his parents, Griffin and Estelle StClair, and brother, Dean StClair.

Surviving family includes his wife of 57 years, Antoinette “Toni” D’Angelo StClair; children, Kenneth and wife, Pam of Plymouth MA. Gary and wife, Patty of Brockton, MA, and Keith and wife, Melissa of Middleboro, MA; sister, Marie StClair Hedrick and husband, Mike of Vinton; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

A celebration of his life will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
