Elsie May Alls

Elsie May Alls passed away on Sunday December 20, 2020. She was 79 years old and was the wonderful daughter of Frank and Della Alls, born on August 20, 1941 in Roanoke, Virginia. Elsie was raised a Christian and kept that faith. She was a beloved member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Troutville, Virginia. She met and married Ralph Alls in 1958, and they had three beautiful children, Ricky Alls, Rodney Alls and Susan Roatenberry. She lived In Botetourt and Roanoke Counties most of her life, and she worked at AMP Corporation for many years as an assembly worker. Afterwards she was a caretaker for the elderly and homemaker for many of her grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Della, and her son Rodney Alls. Elsie leaves to cherish her memory her brother Lynwood Brickey, her son Ricky Alls and daughter Susan Roatenberry. She was loved and cherished by her 4 grandchildren, Felicia Alls, Levi Mundy, Tonya Roatenberry and Harley Hale. Her 10 great-grandchildren were Trevor, Shyanne, Kelsie, Levi, Ivy, Sterling, Abby, Aaliyah, Gunnar and Keaton. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow,
But remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, and the smiles.
I’ve only gone to rest for a while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me,
not as I am but as I used to be.
Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile.
Understand in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest for a while.
As long as I have the love of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
