Edwina Basham Viar

Edwina Basham Viar, 60, of Vinton, passed away on Tuesday May 9th, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brenda and Paul “Tommy” Basham.

Edwina is survived by her brothers, John and Sheila Basham, Paul Basham, II; spouse, Garry Allen Viar “Big Garry”; children, Thomas John Beche, Robert Michael Beche, Garry “JR” and Kaelin Viar, Sarah and Todd Marquis; 6 grandchildren; Laurie, Lily, Khloe, Maxwell, Lincoln, and Jace; pets, Daisy Mae and Peanut.

Edwina will be remembered for her strength, independence, motherly love, selflessness, caring
and kindness. She always would put others before herself and loved her family with her whole heart. She worked very hard throughout her career, but she loved even harder. We will miss her homemade cooking and her warm hugs. She loved animals, butterflies, hummingbirds, and lions. She was an amazing woman all around. We will miss her dearly. Fly High Sweetpea.
