Earl David “Dickie Doodle” Huff, 73, of Troutville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 4, 2019 with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, father, granddaddy and great-granddaddy. He was a charter member of the Hardy Fire and Rescue Squad and was retired from Schwerman Trucking Company. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Nathan and Eldora McKee, and Henry and Molly Huff; parents, Lewis Andrew and Alice K. (Kathy) Huff; wife, Terina Ann Huff; granddaughter, Hayley Elizabeth Huff, and baby brother, Berkley Huff.
Surviving family includes his children, Kim (Kenny) Kiser, Andy Huff, and Randy Huff; stepson, Jr. Barnhart; grandchildren, Travis (Rebecca) Howell, Christian Craig, Kody Kiser, and Michael Huff; great-grandchildren, Riley Barfield, Siane Howell, Aeris Howell, and Cayden (Little Man) Howell; siblings, Lewis (Jean) Huff, Roger (Debbie) Huff, Louise (Carl) Powers, Linda (Kenneth) Meador, Charlotte (George) Gay, and James Huff; special friend, Gaynelle Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor Jason Hay officiating. Interment will follow in McKee Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Friendship Dialysis Center and Amedisys Hospice for their care of Mr. Huff.
