Doris Spradlin Williams

Doris S. Williams, 91, of Roanoke, passed in to Heaven on Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was born on February 2, 1929 and was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Myrtie Ransom; husband, Dill Williams; daughter, Sharon Askers; sisters, Avelyn Grindstaff, Glennie StClair, and brother, Roy E Ransom, Jr. Doris worked at the Roanoker Resturant for 25 years, a job she really enjoyed.

Surviving family includes her children, Bonnie Gillispie (Bobby), Jerry Spradlin, Mike Spradlin (Brenda), Roger Spradlin, and Timmy Spradlin; grandchildren, Darrel Gillispie, Mike Beckner, Randy Beckner, Terry Beckner, Corey Davis, Ray Spradlin, Mikie Spradlin, Amy Spradlin, Kim Hitchcock, and Sherry Agee, and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, with a special mention of Barbara Tyler and Melinda Powers and a special friend, Maranda Minnix, her talking buddy.

The family would like to thank Springtree Health and Rehab Center for the care and love they showed for Doris.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor Barry Witt officiating. Interment will follow in Jeters Chapel Cemetery.
