Dale was 74 years of age when His Heavenly Father called him home on Wednesday September 12, 2018, after suffering with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, in-laws, two sisters, and son Eric.
Dale officially retired from The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism mission agency in 2012, and continued to serve his Lord until he went to be with the Lord. Before that he and his family had served over 22 years in Paraguay South America in an aviation evangelistic church planting ministry. In 2003 he and Bev moved to the mission air base in GA as the Associate Director of ABWE Aviation Ministries. Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, plus a friend to many, who will be lovingly missed by all of us.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 55 years, Beverly; son Glen Fogg and his wife MaLisa; daughter Amy Ingraham and her husband Bryan; grandchildren Josh, Brittny, Alissa, Shelby, Samuel, Gabriel, Gavin, and Grace; plus two great grandsons; a sister, Debby Drew; a brother Mark Smoot; sister-in-law Patti Gilbert and her husband Sonny; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Dale's life will be held on Tuesday September 18 at Goodview Baptist Church in Goodview VA, beginning with the viewing at 10 am. Pastor John Dooley will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Goodview Baptist Church cemetery. Afterwards the church is providing a meal in the church fellowship hall for everyone who would like to stay. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Virginia.
