Obituary
Curtis Allen Hoback, 69, of Moneta, VA, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
Curtis was born on November 19th, 1952 to the late John Henry Hoback, Jr and the late Hattie Victoria Bowles Hoback in Roanoke, Virginia. Curtis joined the United States Navy in 1971 and served on the USS Coral Sea (CV-43) in Vietnam waters. He was proud to be a Veteran of the Armed Forces and serve our country.
After serving, Curtis held several jobs during his life. He also enjoyed many hobbies including researching about history events, family genealogy, and collecting military facts of interest.
Curtis went on to have two children, Christopher Hoback and John Hoback, whom he was tremendously proud of.
In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by his niece, Charmon LeAnn Owens Goode. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Hoback Dillon, special friend, Lori Palmer, step-daughter, Rose Palmer, long time friend, David Ebin, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd) in Dublin, Virginia with Pastor Brian Geiser officiating.
