Connie Sue Lester

Connie Sue Lester, 61, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield as a project manager after 37 years of service. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Lillie Lester.

Surviving family includes sisters, Wanda Thompson and husband, Ronnie, and Mary Rigney and husband, Mitch; brother, Stephen Lester and wife, Gina; nieces and nephews, Ron Thompson and wife, Jenny, Michael Thompson and wife, Jessica, Lisa Powers and husband, Jason, Stephen Lester, Nicole Lester, and James Lester; great nieces and nephews, Kaylee, Emily, and Korie Thompson, Olivia and Braxton Powers, and Sophia Daughtrey, along with other special life-long friends and work family.

A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor David Slayton officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton.
