Mr.Clinton "Berkeley" Carter

Clinton “Berkeley” Carter, 82, of Vinton passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. He is a son of the late Clinton E. and Virginia. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Brenda; brother, Calvin; and sister, Barbara.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Brown Carter; children, David Carter, Teresa Marsh (Jeff); step-children, Malissa, Robin, Linda and Jimmy; sister, Sylvia Ribble (Ed); grandchildren, Jesse Carter (Crystal), Trevor Haynes (Marris), Nathan Haynes (Abby), Karen Ispas (Doey) and Ryan Marsh; step-grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Anthony, Charleigh, Jesse, Sydni, Wesley, Jasmine and Kolby; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Berkeley, Lillian, Gabriel and Emma; special friends, Sonny Arrington and Buddy Adams; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Lotz Funeral Home, 305 E. Washington Ave., Vinton. A celebration of Berkeley’s life will be held 2 pm, Thursday, November 9. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.
