Clarence "Ronald" Swanson

Clarence Ronald Swanson went home to Jesus on July 18, 2022, just a month shy of his 81st birthday. He was surrounded by his beloved family when he passed away.

A native of Moneta, VA, Ronald was a man of many talents and interests. He was a knowledgeable gardener who always looked forward to raising tomatoes. Ronald was also a gifted storyteller and possessed a dry, quick wit that was unmatched. He kept his family in stitches with his witty anecdotes. A man of intelligence, he could discuss any topic, build most anything, and fixed everything.

Ronald was the backbone of his family and loved them deeply. He was a devoted father, husband, and brother. Most important in his life was his faith in Jesus Christ. He loved and served Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, with humility and a grateful heart.
Ronald is preceded in death by Cora Swanson. Left to cherish his beautiful memory are his wife, Cheryl Swanson, a daughter, Rhonda Swanson, a son, Chad Cline, a sister, Elizabeth Gaye Witt, and stepchildren, Tammie Kiser and Rhonda Hurley, and step-grandchildren, J.C. Collins and Kayla Hurley.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, July 23,2022 at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton Chapel
