Charles Dean Eades

Charles Dean Eades “Charlie” went to be at home with the Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2019.
Charlie served in the United States Marine Corps and was a police officer for over 30 years with the Vinton and Blacksburg Police Department. He retired from the Blacksburg Police Department. Charlie was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Laura A. Eades; daughter and son- in- law, Beth and Mark Jarrett and sons, Zachary D. Eades and Zackary B. Cunningham; sister, Charlene Miller; grandchildren, Jordan Earick, Justin Eades, Brie Rowe, Megan Rowe, Caleb Cunningham, Lance Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Bentley Smith, Braelynn Creasy, Weston Earick; mother- in-law, Sue Atkinson and several other family members and very special friends from the Blacksburg Police Department.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lotz Vinton with Rev. Sara Kealing and Chaplin Tommy McDearis officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to God’s Pit Crew, Derrickson Scholarship Fund or Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, P.O.
