Carl Earnest Haupt Sr

Carl Earnest Haupt, Sr., 92, of Blue Ridge, left his family here on earth, in hopefully what was a peaceful sleep on Friday, March 5, 2021 to be with his family in Heaven. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He was the last of eleven siblings and leaves us with empty hearts, some more than others.

Daddy, I will miss our times together, all of the stories you shared with me, Love, your daughter, Carolyn. Fred said, rest peaceful “Mr. Hoop”, you were like a Dad to him. His son, Lee, will miss his Sunday mornings, their time, along with grandchildren Melissa, Tracy, Kristi, Scott, Corey, Michael, Frances, and Kimberly. Also great-grandchildren, Hailey, Devin, Zachary, Zane, Dustin, and Alexis, and two beautiful great-great grandchildren, Jovi and Sylas. We all love you.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 12, 2021 at Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton. Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences and more information may be found at www.lotzfuneralhomevinton.com

From the above posting, I want to apologize to two important people who helped out with Dad. Tina, my sister-in-law, Loretta, my most favorite all-in-one person. I love you both. Tina was a blessing to my Dad. Each time I would call him after he went in the nursing home, he always ask me, “have you talked to Tina”. He loved you Tina, we all love you.
Loretta, he always looked for you in the morning. “Well, I seen Loretta go by, she waved at me”, that made his day because he said he felt trapped with the way life has turned out. Little things made him happy. Just to know he was loved was the best. Thank you Loretta, Love you!
