Billie Jo O'Connor

Billie Jo O’Connor, 50, of Vinton, passed away March 14, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer. She spent her free time taking care of the people around her. She loved to help people and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. Magic City Ford lost a beloved member of their family. BJ was a 30 year employee that was loved by her co-workers and customers. She was a dedicated employee and will be greatly missed. Her family thanks all her customers for their friendship and dedication. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Cline and Ruth Geraldine O’Connor, and brother, Michael Eugene Linkenhoker.
Surviving family includes her husband, David Holmes; son, Jacob Holmes; sister, Kathy Judy (Richard), and brothers, Edwin L. O’Connor and Joseph C. O’Connor.
A celebration of her life will be held at Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association.
