In Loving Memory
Betty Jane Poff, 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 26, 2022, in Roanoke, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Poff, her parents, Lois M. Trent and Lewis H. Trent, her brother, Frederick A. Trent, and her granddaughter, Cassie N. Begley. She is survived by her four children Angela Marie, Melissa Renee, Michael Todd (Danita), and Leigh Ann (Damon); eight grandchildren Jessica, Brandon (Esther), Lindsey (Justin), Megan (Terry), David, Jamie (Ruben), Bryan, and Dylan; fourteen great grandchildren Skye, Lace, Tony Jr, Wesley, Steven, Taelor, Audrey, Weston, Brantley, Taylen, Liam, Laureline, Jeneviere, Amelia; five siblings Faye, David, Loretta (James), Kathie (Russ), Robyn (Roger).
Betty was strong and feisty. She took her role as big sister very seriously and loved nothing more than cooking for and spending time with her loved ones. Her favorite thing was being a grandmother and having little ones running around. If you ever asked her, she would say her claim to fame was her nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren (and her cooking).
Services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, in Vinton, VA, on Wednesday, March 2, at 2pm.
Family will be accepting visitors at home, following the service.
