Betty Ann Eversole “Granny” 84, of Vinton, Virginia, went to be with her precious Jesus on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
She was born in Wytheville, Virginia on May 10, 1937 to Buford Sterling Eversole and Fannie Cleveland Jones. She moved to the Roanoke area early in life and that is where she spent most of her years. She was predeceased by her five brothers, three sisters, and fur babies Tippy, Rambo, Bear and Tiffany.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her daughter Missy (Jerry) Roberts; Grandchildren, Josh (Maida) Morris, Jenny (Chris) Way and Dustin Roberts; Great -grandchildren Parker Roberts-Way, Brayden Roberts, Olivia Morris and Stella Way; Brother Bobby Eversole and niece Donna (Nelson) Britt. She is also survived by a host of wonderful family and friends.
Granny liked spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed hockey and was a fan of the Express for years. Weekend activities included poker games with family and friends and going to yard sales. Her nightly routine included drinking 4 cans of Milwaukee’s Best beer and eating pork rinds. Taco Bell Taco’s and anything sweet were basically a food group for her. She was wild, funny and always spoke her mind yet loved with all her heart. Family was first and foremost to Granny. Many years ago, her grandchildren had her on her toes, running from softball fields to hockey rinks and everywhere in between. Most recently, her great grandchildren had her wrapped around their tiny fingers.
There are not enough words to truly summarize the impact Granny made in her almost 85 years. She lived a full and vibrant life and will be missed dearly.
Visitation hours will be on May 5, 2022 from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton, VA.
