Avonda Bryant

Avonda Carol Bryant, 80, of Vinton, Virginia passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Harmony Collection at Roanoke Memory Care after a long battle with dementia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Malinda Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Bruce Bryant; sisters, Thea Cross, and Jettie Anders; and brothers, Kenneth Adams, William Adams, Ned Adams, and Jerry Adams.
Avonda was a wonderful mother to her two children. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bruce Anthony Bryant (Cassie); daughter Angelia Bryant; grandchildren, Caisee Garst (Brad), Kendyl Pham (Ronny), Gabbi Dent (Malcolm), Kennedy Solomon (James), Emilie Jearls (Chandler), and Jacob Hammed (Rosi). She is also survived by one great grandchild, Haylie Jade; sisters, Lynn Krisher, Carla Greer, Edith Prater; brothers, Philip Adams and Raymond Adams. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family and her special friend, Gwen Taylor.
Avonda was a former employee of Stone Printing, Blue Ridge Transfer, and Greenwood Motor Lines. She loved to travel with her family as well as cook for her family. She was known for cooking a great lasagna, baked spaghetti, and peanut butter candy. She loved bluegrass music and flat footing with her friends and family. Aside from her family, her greatest loves were Elvis Presley and chocolate!
Avonda’s life will be celebrated at a graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery on Monday, February 21 at 12 noon, Pastor Travis Russell will officiate. The date of the service will be announced later.
