Obituary
Vernice Mays Wright, 96, of Goodview, VA passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She was born April 12, 1927. Vernice was the daughter of, Otis and Ethel Lantz Mays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry C. Wright and son Curtis C. Wright.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy Wright, Wanda Arrington (Jan); Daughter in-law, Pat Wright; Sister, Shirley Mays (Deane); Grandchildren, Angie Wright, Jeremy Wright (Laura), Chris Chattin (Jessica), Jessica Snyder (John) and Courtney Mayhew (Nick); Great Grand Children, Alena, Cecilia, Madison, Peyton, Lennon, Kaylee, Chelsea, Walker, Mason, Dylan, Lacie, Wade and Waylon.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice. Your compassion and services are such a comfort during the most difficult of times.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm Friday, March 15, 2024, at Lotz Funeral Home, 305 East Washington Ave., Vinton. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Barnhardt Baptist Church cemetery located at 1033 Brittle St, Goodview, Virginia, VA 24095 with Pastor Joey Phillips officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Stewartsville/ Chamblissburg Fire Department
