Terry L. Schmidt, 65, of Bedford County, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank S. and Mary Clark Schmidt; in-laws, Edgar and Doreda Cooper, and brother-in-law, Charles W. Mills.

Surviving family includes his wife, Nancy; sons, Stacey and Chad and wife, Kristyn; daughter, Tara Dunbar; grandchildren, Bobby Lee (Scoot) and Kayla (Skeeter), Bryson and Brenden, Abbie and Sam; brother, Frankie and wife, Pat, and sister, Peggy (Joyce).

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 5, 2017, at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
