Sherman L. Scearles, Sr. , 72, of Goodview, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents; Chester Scearles and Delcia Ruby, and son; Sherman Lee Scearles Jr. .
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Samuel (Rena); step-daughter, Michelle Clement; step-son, Deven Elkins; brothers, James Chandler (Barbara) of Hurricane, W.VA and Frank Chandler of Gilmer, Co. W.VA.; sisters. Joyce Garrett (James) of Lewis Co., W.VA., Annie Pumphery (Henry) of Westen, W.VA., Rhoda Chandler Gandee (Brian) of St. Albans, W.VA.; grandchildren, Hannah and Brinston Scearles, Brittany, Malia, Derek, Jr., and Kylah Williams, Eden, Maddie, and Gracie Elkins, Cameron Clement and Nick Murphy; seven nieces, seven nephews along with 27 grandnieces and nephews.
A GATHERING OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2017 FROM 5-8 PM AT LOTZ FUNERAL HOME IN VINTON.
