Ramon A Wright

Mr Ramon A Wright “Ray”, of Moneta, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024 at the age of 86 surrounded by his loving family at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. A cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Ray was a retired business man with businesses in Salem and Roanoke Va. Ray was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson high school. Ray served in the Army, during Cuban missile crisis. Ray especially enjoyed his life on the lake playing solitary on the deck. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends , he enjoyed spending time with friends at Amvets and Eagles, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and he enjoyed watching sports with his son. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria (PeeWee) Harmon Wright; Parents, Eloise and Russell Wright and brothers, Russell Sr, Eugene, Bob, Dinky and Tiny.
Surviving is his beloved son, Scott; adored grandchildren, McKenzie, Taylor and Seth; sister, Brenda Gilmore(Bill) and many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Lotz Vinton Chapel. There will be a funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Lotz Vinton Chapel with Pastor Brian Geiser officiating.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Airport Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.
