Nancy Irvine daughter of Marvin Stephenson and Barbarie (Burdess) Stephenson was born March 10,1951 in Osceola, IA and passed from this life on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at her home in Vinton, Virginia.  

Nancy attended school in Osceola before moving to Des Moines, IA and graduated from Lincoln High.  Upon graduating she enlisted in the Navy.  Nancy met and married Arthur Irvine while in the Navy in 1972.

Nancy was a devoted wife and mother to her children Joann and Timothy.  Nancy was very active in the church and created many special crocheted afghans and quilts for the babies born to the church families.  She was a talented artist, seamstress, and homeschool teacher.

Nancy loved her family deeply and her grandchildren Darren and Monica completed her family.

Family that preceded her in death were her parents, Marvin and Barbarie and her mother in law and father in law Bill and Marge Irvine, and brother in law Robert Irvine.

Nancy leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Arthur Irvine, son Timothy at home, daughter JoAnn Zebley of Bedford, VA, grandchildren; Darren Irvine and Monica Zebley, sister Phyllis (George) Paul of Osceola, IA, sister Marilyn Storm of Muskogee, OK, and brother Roger (Melinda) Stephenson of Blue Springs, MO as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Mr. Terry Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Va. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
