Mamie Ella Walters, 85, of Bedford County, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Franklin County. She was predeceased by her parents, Hardy Valentine and Annie Leona Palmer, and husband, Louis Earl Walters.

Surviving family includes her children, Darrell and Donna Walters, Shane Walters and Lisa, and Trina Maxey and Mike; grandchildren, Melissa Hicks, Amanda Ingram and husband, Josh, William L. Walters, and Nicholas Walters; step-grandson, Matthew Deba; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter, and other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Chaplain Rick Polland officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
