Lloyd Shirley Watson, 94, of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was born in Beggs, Oklahoma and served 37 months in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was employed by Colonial Pipeline in Montvale for over 45 years retiring in 1988. After retirement he became involved with the Roanoke Valley Mineral and Gem Club. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a wonderful friend.

Surviving family includes his wife, Esther Lucille Watson; children, Elane and Bill Watson both of Roanoke and Roger Watson of Wichita, KS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens in Bonsack. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Lotz Funeral Home Vinton Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.lotzfuneralhomevinton.com
