James L. Hartberger, 88, of Blue Ridge passed away on June 26,2017. He was the youngest of twelve children born to William and Lula Hartberger, who all preceded him in death. He was a member and Deacon at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his wife, Nellie Giles Hartberger and son, Randy Hartberger.
He is survived by his sons, Mike (Wanda) Hartberger, Mark (Tammie) Hartberger; grandsons, Matt (Olivia), Travis, Ryan (Danielle); granddaughter, Chelsea (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Palmer, Nelson and Charlie Hartberger. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 29, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Harris officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery following the service.
