Dennis “Buck” Shipe, 75, of Vinton, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on December 6th, 2017.  He passed away peacefully at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after fighting the good fight for many years.
 
Buck is survived by his wife of 41 years Judy.  Through all of the good times and the bad they stood together.  He is also survived by his two sons James and Curtis, his daughter-in laws Michelle and Cindy, his grandkids Kyle, Tyler, Ashley, Blake and Bryce, sister Betty Raines and countless dear friends.  He will be sitting down to have a cup of coffee with his brother Ted and sister Sis to catch up on old times.
 
Buck’s only hobby in life was his friends and family.  He could talk with the best of them.  The word stranger did not exist in his vocabulary.  To those who knew Buck knew he was a loving husband, devoted father and a man that would do anything he could to help a friend.
 
The family will receive visitors at 3:00 on December 10th, 2017 with the memorial service to follow at 4:00 at Lotz Funeral Home at 305 E Washington Ave, Vinton, Virginia 24179.
