Betty Cochran Simmons, 84, of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, George (Peanut) Simmons, and parents, Jesse E. and Shirley Cochran.

Surviving family includes her children, Thomas E. Simmons, Kathy E. Stover and husband, Paul, and Ralph V. Simmons and wife, Paula; grandchildren, Britt Simmons and wife, Suzanna, Garth Simmons, Trey Simmons, Hallie Pilcher, Joshua Stover and wife, Katherine, Kimberly Stover and husband, Mike, Ralph Simmons, and Casey Shane Simmons; great-grandchildren, Mina Simmons, Lily Simmons, Savannah Schickling, Lindsey Lafave, Aiden Stover, Brielle Stover, and Raina Stover.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Cedar Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bill Hinton officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton.
