Barbara Ellen Underwood, 86, of Stewartsville, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Underwood. And daughter, Carolyn Richards.

Surviving family includes her children, Brenda Mullis and David Underwood; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family expresses their appreciation for the care given to Barbara by Amanda and Jennifer of Centra Hospice of Bedford as well as her primary caregivers, Nathan Lawhorn (grandson), Phyllis and Sierra. A memorial service is planned at her home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 around 12:00 noon for family and friends, respectfully. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home Vinton Chapel.
