Ayers, Daniel Thomas, Jr., 79, of Goodview, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2014. He was a son of the late Daniel Thomas, Sr. and Cornelia Ayers. He was also predeceased by a brother, Doug Ayers and nephew, Harold Lee Ayers. Surviving family includes brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Pam, Harold, Jesse and Jill; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Bill; his loving wife of 59 years, Anna Belle; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Vickie Ayers of Salem, Jimmy Ayers of Thaxton, David and Melody Ayers of Vinton and Kevin and Sherry Ayers of Goodview; daughter, Debbie Ayers of Alberta, Canada; grandchildren, Angie and husband, Billy, Melissa and husband Dennis, Travis and wife, Sarah, Bethany, Cody and wife, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Kinsey, Sydnee and Hunter; great grandchildren, Bailey and Laney; step-great grandchildren, Brandon and Brianah; special sister-in-law, Myrt McLain and a special niece, Traci Miller and their family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Goodview Baptist Church, Grace Court, Goodview, VA with Pastor Joey Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton.
